2024 Beijing New Student Sendoff Event

On Saturday, July 20, 2024, the Cornell China Center, in collaboration with the Cornell Club of Beijing, hosted the annual New Student Sendoff Beijing event at the Cornell China Center in Beijing. The gathering brought together approximately 100 attendees, including incoming Cornell students, their parents, and Cornell alumni.
The event served as a warm welcome for the new students and their families, offering them a chance to connect with the vibrant Cornell community in Beijing before embarking on their academic journeys on the Ithaca campus. Cornell Club of Beijing board members and alumni were on hand to share their experiences and offer valuable advice to the incoming students, helping to ease their transition to university life.
The afternoon was filled with lively conversations, insightful presentations, and the forging of new friendships. Participants appreciated the opportunity to engage with one another, exchange stories, and build connections that will undoubtedly enhance their Cornell experience.
