Cornell-China Forum 2023

On November 5, 2023, an estimated 250 Cornell alumni, friends, and collaborators gathered in Guangzhou for Cornell's annual event in China, organized by the Cornell China Center. The forum showcased Cornell's research and commitment to addressing urgent global challenges and collaborations with a global scope. Several Cornell leaders and faculty joined panel discussions with Chinese scholars and industry representatives to discuss decarbonization and environmental resilience, health technology in the context of aging society, and materials innovations.

The forum included a keynote talk on "Cornell in China: Doing the Greatest Good" by Jonathan Zhu, partner and co-head of Asia Private Equity, Bain Capital Private Equity (Asia) LLC, and chair of the Cornell China Advisory Board. KPF principal Jill Lerner gave a keynote talk on "Built Environment for Connections."

Panel discussions on "Decarbonization, Sustainability and Environmental Resilience," "Health Technology Outlook in the Context of Aging Societies," and "Material Innovations and How they are Going to Change Our World" brought together teams of renowned Cornell and Chinese faculty with business leaders and colleagues to showcase impactful research and education efforts, and to demonstrate Cornell's commitment to dialogue and collaboration as crucial elements for addressing pressing global challenges and embracing opportunities into the future.
